Originally from Tokyo, Japan, Shiori Yamaguchi is a dedicated pianist and educator committed to nurturing students across a wide spectrum of ages and backgrounds. With over a decade of teaching experience, she has had the honor of guiding and inspiring inquisitive, driven, and dedicated students on their journey to mastering the art of the piano. Her teaching philosophy centers around fostering a deep appreciation for music while instilling a solid foundation.

Shiori holds a Master of Music degree in Piano Performance from Manhattan School of Music where she not only honed her skills as a performer but also dedicated her time to actively contribute as an educator in the school’s Sunday Program. She also holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance from Ithaca College where she was a merit scholarship recipient. During her time at Ithaca, she underwent three years of intensive training in piano pedagogy through the Piano Teaching Intern Program.

Over the years, Shiori’s students have achieved remarkable success, earning top honors in various competitions and festivals. Additionally, several of her students have been accepted to prestigious performing arts academies. In 2021, Shiori was honored to receive a Top Piano Teacher award from the Steinway Gallery of Greensboro.
